Biševo Island
Blue Cave on Biševo island is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Croatia, famous for its magical blue glow.

Blue Cave is located on the island Biševo near Vis, it is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Croatia and one of the most popular touristic sights. The cave has a beautiful blue tint when the sunlight enters in.
Blue Cave has been open to the public since 1884 when citizens of Komiža in Vis opened its entrance (before that you could only enter by diving under). When you come to Biševo you need to buy a ticket for a small boat operated by Port Authority which takes visitors inside the cave.
It is best to visit the Blue Cave around noon when the sunlight enters the cave directly and creates a magical blue glow inside.
Around midday, sunlight refracts through an underwater opening and floods the cavern with an ethereal blue glow.
Reached by boat from Hvar via Komiža; you transfer into a small local boat to slip through the low cave mouth.
Late morning (roughly 11:00–13:00) gives the most intense light, and calm seas are essential for entry.
Pairs naturally with the Green Cave, Stiniva and Komiža on a full Vis-area tour from Hvar.
