Zaraće is a geological wonder. Two bays are protected by long, natural stone piers that look like dragon scales. Velo Zaraće (the eastern bay) is easier for larger boats to anchor, while Malo Zaraće is a tiny, emerald-green pool perfect for smaller vessels.
The sea here is deep blue and exceptionally clear, excellent for swimming and snorkelling along the rocky walls. The distinctive pointed rock formation between the two beaches has become one of Hvar's most photographed landmarks.
A small restaurant sits above the beach. By boat, Zaraće is easily combined with nearby Dubovica and Milna for a spectacular south coast swimming day. Don't miss Malo Zaraće next door.
