Vis Island
A charming harbour town on the island of Vis — excellent waterfront restaurants, rich history, and an unspoiled island atmosphere.

Vis town is the main settlement on the island of Vis, one of the most remote and unspoiled islands in the Croatian Adriatic. Once a closed military zone (until 1989), Vis has preserved an authenticity and tranquillity that many other Dalmatian islands have lost.
The town's beautiful harbour is lined with waterfront restaurants serving some of the freshest seafood in Croatia. Don't miss the famous Vis anchovy dishes and local wines.
From Hvar, Vis is about 45 minutes by speedboat. It makes a great destination for a full-day boat trip, giving you time to explore the harbour, eat a proper meal, and soak in the island atmosphere.
An unspoiled Adriatic town with Venetian and British heritage around a sheltered bay.
Excellent konobas and seafood restaurants line the Riva promenade.
Around 12 nm from Hvar; moor in the bay and step straight into town.
Hill forts, wineries and WWII tunnels all lie within easy reach of the harbour.
