Do I need a boat licence?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a valid boat licence is required to rent this boat in Croatia. You will also need a VHF radio operator certificate. Croatia accepts most national boating licences including: ICC (International Certificate of Competence), RYA Day Skipper or higher (UK), ASA 104+ (USA), Sportbootführerschein See (Germany), Fahrtbereich 2+ (Austria), and most EU/EEA national boating certificates. Australian, Canadian and New Zealand state licences are also recognised. Don’t have a licence? We can arrange a professional skipper for an additional fee — or consider one of our Luxury RIBs where the skipper is always included.

What is included in the rental price?

Accepted Answer

The rental price includes the boat, all safety equipment (life jackets, fire extinguisher, flares), a swimming ladder, navigation instruments, and a thorough briefing before departure. Fuel is full tank to full tank — you receive the boat with a full tank and return it full. You only pay for what you actually use. There is a petrol station conveniently located at Hvar harbour. A skipper is not included but can be arranged on request for an additional fee.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for July and August when the most popular boats sell out weeks in advance. For shoulder season (May–June and September–October), a few days' notice is usually sufficient, but the most popular boats can be booked way in advance, even in that period. Last-minute availability does sometimes come up — message us on WhatsApp, and we'll let you know what's free.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety is our top priority. If sea conditions are unsafe on your booked day, we will offer you a full refund or the option to reschedule at no extra cost. The decision is made on the morning of your booking based on the official maritime forecast. We'll contact you as early as possible so you can plan your day accordingly.

Question 5

Can we bring food and drinks on board?

Absolutely — we encourage it! Pack a picnic, bring cold drinks and snacks, and make a full day of it. There's a small cooler bag on most boats. We can point you towards the best local bakeries and markets in Hvar town if you'd like to stock up before departure.

Question 6

What should we bring on the boat?

Accepted Answer

We recommend bringing: high-factor sunscreen (the Adriatic sun is strong), towels, swimwear, a hat and sunglasses, water, and snacks. Non-slip shoes are useful for getting on and off the boat at rocky beaches. Everything else — life jackets, safety gear, and a full briefing — is provided by us.
