The Jeanneau Cap Camarat 6.5 CC is the most popular boat in our fleet, and the reason is simple: she is the biggest boat you can drive yourself, and she does everything well. Six and a half metres, a 150 HP outboard, a cruising speed of 22 knots and room for six.

The centre-console layout is what makes her so easy to live with. You can walk all the way round the helm, so nobody climbs over anybody to reach the large bow sunbed, the bathing ladder or the anchor, and the driver has a clear view in every direction. A bimini shades the cockpit, a marine VHF and compass cover the practical side, Bluetooth music is on board, and the proven Jeanneau hull stays composed when the afternoon Maestral kicks up a chop in the channel.

At 22 knots the distances shrink. The Pakleni Islands are five to ten minutes away, Dubovica and the Red Rocks about a quarter of an hour, Sveta Nedjelja twenty minutes. That leaves the whole day for swimming and lunch rather than travelling, and it is why this is the boat we most often recommend to families and groups of friends who want to cover serious ground without giving up comfort. Fuel is full to full: you leave with a full tank and pay for what you used.

Rent her bareboat if someone in your group holds a valid boat licence; we brief you on the controls, mark the chart for the day's wind and point out the restaurant buoys and jetties along the way.
