A peaceful emerald-green cove on Hvar's north coast — easily accessible by boat and offering total tranquillity for a quick swim, without the crowds of its famous Vis namesake.

This is the Stiniva that's on the way — a peaceful, emerald-green cove on Hvar's north coast, easily accessible by boat. Unlike the famous Stiniva on Vis or the Mala Stiniva further east, this one offers total tranquillity without the crowds.
Situated below the village of Brusje, Stiniva is the third of the Bruške Vale bays heading east from Cape Pelegrin. The 120-metre pebble beach is framed by dramatic rocky slopes that plunge into crystal-clear water, creating an enclosed, almost lagoon-like feel.
The bay is completely unspoiled — no infrastructure, no services, just you and the sea. The water is a distinctive emerald green, especially striking in the morning light when the surrounding cliffs reflect off the surface. It's an ideal spot for a quick 20-minute swim between other destinations.
By land, Stiniva requires taking the old road between Hvar and Stari Grad near Brusje village, then following a partly-asphalted dirt road for the last 2.5 km. By boat, it's just a few minutes past Jagodna and Lozna — making all three bays a perfect morning sequence.
